The Itinerary
Your chauffeur-guide welcomes you at the airport and transfers you to Negombo or Colombo. The first day is kept light so you can rest before the long wildlife journey begins.
You travel north-west to Wilpattu, Sri Lanka’s largest and quietest major park, settling into a nature-set lodge with time to prepare for the early safaris.

A morning at the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, then an afternoon jeep safari in Minneriya or Kaudulla to look for wild elephants, with the chosen park depending on the season and movement.
